article: "Would Adam Smith Eat That Burger?"

The article that was assigned today is titled "Would Adam Smith Eat That Burger?" and states the truth, partly. The article is suggesting that macroeconomics is the cause of obesity but that is not fully the case. The article brings up some points that obesity is caused due to a rise in incomes, the desire to try new things, and cheaper prices for high-calorie fast food places.
Obesity has other factors that need to be considered: an example being the amount of exercise a person has daily. The article fails to mention one's daily amount of exercise and simply mentions how one's waistlines have expanded due to high-calorie foods being accessible. Overall, I agree with the fact that higher portions tend to be cheaper which lead people to simply buy the bigger meal. Buying the bigger meal, however, may influence the person to finish it all but a person may also choose to only eat what one can eat.
